Panvel RTO Launches App To Warn Ganeshotsav Motorists
The Panvel RTO has created a free app for people driving during Ganeshotsav.
The festival is expected to bring many vehicles onto highways leading toward Konkan.
The app warns drivers when they are near dangerous road locations.
These locations can include accident black spots, sharp curves and hazardous stretches.
Drivers can use the warnings to slow down and be more careful.
The RTO also asked people to follow speed limits and avoid risky overtaking.
Car passengers should wear seat belts, and motorcycle riders should wear helmets.
People who are tired should stop safely and rest before driving again.
The RTO also warned motorists never to drive after consuming alcohol or drugs.
The Panvel RTO launched the ‘Black Spot RTO Panvel’ app before the expected Ganeshotsav traffic surge.
The app alerts motorists about accident black spots, dangerous curves and other hazardous road stretches.
It is available free on Android and iOS through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The warnings cover roads under the Panvel RTO’s jurisdiction, including routes toward Konkan.
The RTO advised drivers to follow speed limits, avoid dangerous overtaking, wear seat belts or helmets, and never drive under the influence.
