Dalmia Bharat Q3 profit drops 46% due to falling cement prices
Dalmia Bharat, a big cement company in India, made much less money in the last three months of the year.
They earned only ₹128 crore, which is less than half of what they earned in the previous three months.
This happened because the price of cement went down in the places where they sell the most, like the east and south of India.
They also had to spend more money, which made their profits even smaller.
The company is building new factories to sell more cement in the future.
They think prices will go up again soon, but right now, they are having a tough time.
Dalmia Bharat's net profit dropped 46% sequentially to ₹128 crore in Q3FY26 due to weaker cement prices in eastern and southern markets.
Revenue rose 3% to ₹3,506 crore, while sales volumes increased to 7.3 million tonnes.
Expenses climbed 6% to ₹3,362 crore, with an additional ₹32 crore impact expected from new labour codes.
Net sales realizations declined 4% to ₹4,794 per tonne, with prices falling across all regions.
The company is expanding capacity to 61.5 MT by Q2FY28 with projects in Belgaum, Pune, and Kadapa.
