Gujarat CM Announces Stamp Duty Relief, Inaugurates Sports Event
Gujarat's Chief Minister is helping people buy homes.
He's decided that people in the middle and lower income groups will pay a lot less tax when they transfer houses.
Instead of paying the full tax, they'll only pay about 20%.
This is because of a new rule.
The Chief Minister also supports sports and recently opened a big handball competition for women.
Gujarat CM announced up to 80% stamp duty waiver on housing transfers.
The waiver applies to transfers by societies, associations, and non-trading corporations.
Only about 20% of the original duty amount will be collected.
The decision aims to reduce the financial burden on middle and lower-income families.
