Trump warns Iran of tougher military action, economic pressure
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is in a big disagreement with a country called Iran.
He said in a phone interview that Iran does not play fair when it talks about making a deal.
He gave Iran a choice between two things.
One choice is that Iran keeps having big money problems.
The other choice is that America will fight them much harder.
The President also said America controls money that Iran keeps in banks.
Some other countries, Pakistan and Qatar, say the two sides are actually close to making a deal.
There were still reports of new attacks on ships in a very important waterway called the Strait of Hormuz.
The President said America has enough weapons, and blamed the last president for giving so many weapons to Ukraine.

Trump offered Iran two options: let its economic problems deepen ('just bop along') or face intensified US military action ('hit them really, really hard').

Pakistan said Washington and Tehran were nearing 'some sort' of deal, while Qatar said Strait of Hormuz talks were at an advanced stage despite reports of fresh attacks on shipping.
