Rising Ganga Floodwaters Disrupt Train Services Across Bihar

Rising Ganga Floodwaters Disrupt Train Services Across Bihar

Heavy rain has caused the Ganga River to rise in Bihar.

Water levels became dangerously high near a railway bridge between Patna Sahib and Patliputra Junction.

Because of this, railway officials stopped trains on part of the track.

Ten local MEMU trains were cancelled.

Six longer-distance trains were sent along different routes.

The changes were made to keep trains away from the affected area.

The Ganga also rose above its earlier record flood level at two places in Patna.

About 10.26 lakh people in 11 Bihar districts have been affected by the flooding.
