Hyderabad Metro: Court Allows Presentation on Charminar Corridor
The Telangana High Court is looking at a case about the construction of a new metro line near Charminar in Hyderabad.
Some people who care about the city (the petitioners) want the construction to stop immediately.
The court asked both sides to show presentations to help explain their points.
The petitioners will show their presentation next time, but the company building the metro (HAML) said they need more time to prepare theirs.
The court said it's okay and set the next hearing for February 4.
Telangana High Court allows petitioners to present an audiovisual presentation on February 4 regarding Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2 near Charminar.
HAML seeks more time to prepare a seamless audiovisual presentation, currently working on a 150-slide PPT.
Court had earlier requested both sides to present audiovisual details to aid in the proceedings.
Petitioners seek an immediate halt to all construction activities in the area.
Next hearing scheduled for February 4 to allow both sides to present their cases.
