NCLAT Rejects Appeal in Byju's-Aakash Educational Case
Imagine a company, Byju's, has a school called Aakash.
A person from Byju's tried to change a court order about how the school is run, but the court said no.
This person is like a helper for Byju's, but the court decided he couldn't make this change.
The court agreed with the owners of Aakash school.
Now the case goes back to the first court to decide if things stay the same.
NCLAT dismissed Shailendra Ajmera's appeal related to Byju's stake in Aakash Educational Services (AESL).
Ajmera, a resolution professional for Byju's and an EY partner, challenged an NCLT order.
The NCLAT upheld the initial order, citing it was an interim decision with consent.
The tribunal sided with AESL and Manipal Group's legal arguments.
The case will now return to NCLT Bengaluru for further proceedings.
