NSO Launches Survey of Private Corporate Capital Expenditure Plans
India’s National Statistics Office is asking large private companies about their spending on buildings, equipment, and other investments.
The survey is called CAPEX 2026.
It runs from October to December.
Companies will report what they spent recently, what they are spending now, and what they plan to spend next year.
They will also explain why they are investing and how they will pay for it.
Companies can submit their answers through a secure online portal.
An earlier survey found that manufacturing made up the largest share of investment spending in 2024-25.
Information and communication, and transportation and storage, were the next-largest categories.
The National Statistics Office is conducting CAPEX 2026 from October to December.
