SpaceX Plans First Nvidia-Powered AI Satellites for 2027

Elon Musk says SpaceX wants to put powerful AI computers on satellites.

The satellites are planned to use technology made by Nvidia.

The first launch is expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.

SpaceX expects the satellite network to become much larger in 2028.

These satellites would do some computer work that is normally done in large buildings on Earth.

The project is called an orbital data center plan.

Nvidia says its system could help with tasks such as running AI agents, processing data, and executing code.

SpaceX has also asked U.S. regulators for permission to launch a much larger satellite network.
