Mahindra Showcases Alternate-Fuel Tractors at Agrovision 2025
Mahindra showed new tractors that can use cleaner kinds of fuel.
The display took place at Agrovision 2025 in Nagpur.
One tractor can run on CNG, CBG, or a mixture of diesel and CNG.
Another engine can use ethanol made from crops and farm waste.
Mahindra also showed an electric tractor.
The electric tractor is designed to use less money to operate and can charge quickly.
The company says these machines could help make farming cleaner and more efficient.
Diesel tractors and farm tools from Mahindra and Swaraj were also on display.
Mahindra displayed CNG, CBG, dual-fuel, ethanol-flex-fuel and electric tractor technologies in Nagpur.
The CNG/CBG tractor is based on the Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ platform and can use CNG, CBG or diesel-CNG dual fuel.
Mahindra's ethanol-flex-fuel engine can use ethanol made from sugarcane, maize, crop waste and other farm-based sources.
The electric tractor uses Mahindra's lightweight OJA platform and offers instant torque, lower operating costs and fast charging.
The technologies were developed at Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai and shown alongside diesel tractors and farm implements.
