Usher Responds to Viral Clone Rumors About MetLife Concert
Some people on the internet watched a video of the singer Usher at a big concert.
They thought the man on stage did not look exactly like the Usher they knew.
They started a strange theory that Usher hired a clone, or someone who looks just like him, to perform instead.
His hat and sunglasses covered a lot of his face, which made people wonder even more.
People argued about it on social media apps like X and TikTok.
One post got more than four million views, and some people even asked for their money back.
Usher thought the whole thing was funny.
He answered on Instagram and joked that they cannot clone him and that AI is not that advanced yet.
The concert was part of his Raymond & Brown Tour with singer Chris Brown.
That tour started in June and is planned to run through December across North America.
This is not the first time a celebrity's video made people invent wild theories about them.
Usher responded to viral claims that he hired a clone or lookalike to perform at his concert.
The speculation began after videos from his August 7 performance at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium circulated online.
Fans pointed to his hat and sunglasses obscuring his face, plus perceived differences in his appearance and mannerisms.
A viral X post reportedly crossed 4 million views, accused Usher of fooling concertgoers and demanded refunds.
On Instagram on August 9, Usher laughed off the claims, joking that they can't 'clone this' and that 'AI ain't that advanced.'
