Bengaluru Metro Expansion: Pink, Blue, and Orange Lines Update
Bengaluru is expanding its metro system!
The Pink Line is the next big thing, with some parts opening in early 2026 and the rest by September 2026.
There's an elevated section and a long underground tunnel.
The Blue Line, which will connect the city to the airport, is also being built.
Plus, construction of the Orange Line is about to start, extending the metro further.
The government is investing a lot of money to make it all happen!
Bengaluru's Pink Line is slated to be fully operational by September 2026.
The Pink Line will have a 7.5-km elevated stretch ready by March 2026.
The 13.76-km underground section is expected to be operational by September 2026.
Work is progressing on the Blue Line connecting Silk Board Junction to the airport.
Foundation work for the Orange Line (Phase 3) was launched recently.
