Samsung Begins Global One UI 9 Rollout With Android 17
Samsung has started sending a major software update called One UI 9 to Galaxy phones.
The first phones receiving it are the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The update is based on Android 17 and adds new artificial intelligence tools.
My FanCam can follow a person in a recorded video.
Now Brief can show more personalised daily information, while Now Nudge can suggest helpful actions inside supported apps.
Samsung is also adding warnings about unusual app activity and risky permissions.
More phones and tablets will receive the update over time, but the schedule may differ by country and carrier.
Samsung began the global One UI 9 rollout on September 16 for the Galaxy S26 series.
The update includes Android 17, new Galaxy AI tools, privacy options and security features.
My FanCam uses AI to track a selected person in recorded video and keep the camera focused on them.
Now Brief, Now Nudge, Creative Studio, Interpreter, document scanning and voice recording receive updates.
The rollout will expand gradually, but Samsung has not announced a complete timeline for all eligible devices.
