Nearly 11 Lakh Delhi Voters Deleted Before SIR

Nearly 11 Lakh Delhi Voters Deleted Before SIR

Delhi removed nearly 11 lakh names from its voter list between January 2025 and June 2026.

This happened before a larger voter-list checking exercise called the Special Intensive Revision, or SIR.

Some people said they did not know their names had been removed.

Because their names were missing, they did not receive the forms needed for the SIR process.

Delhi election officials said the removals may have happened during regular list updates or because of mistakes by local election workers.

People whose names are missing can apply again using Form 6.

They can also submit documents to support their application.

Claims and objections are open until September 30, 2026.

The final voter list is expected on November 4, 2026.
