Thane Municipal Corporation Partners with NGO for Underprivileged School
The Thane Municipal Corporation has teamed up with an organization called Christel House India to build a new school for children who need help.
This school will be really big with lots of classrooms and special rooms for science and other subjects.
The best part is that the school will give everything the kids need, like uniforms, books, food, and even healthcare, all for free.
The school will start with younger kids and will grow to include older students.
The goal is to help these children get a great education and build a better future for themselves and their families.
Thane Municipal Corporation and Christel House India signed an MoU to establish a school for underprivileged children.
The school will be 60,500 square feet with 58 classrooms, 4 labs, a library, and an administration block.
Services provided include transportation, uniforms, books, food, healthcare, and counseling at no cost to students.
Initial enrollment will be 210 children in Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2, with full capacity of 1,080 students.
The school is set to open in the first week of June 2026, with teacher recruitment starting in December 2025.
