Indian Army Intensifies Kashmir Operations Amid Snowfall
The Indian Army is working hard in the snowy mountains of Jammu and Kashmir, even though it's very cold and snowy.
They are searching for terrorists and making sure the area is safe.
Usually, during the coldest part of winter, called Chillai Kalan, there isn't much terrorist activity because the snow makes it hard to move around.
But this year, the Army is being very active and setting up temporary camps in the snow to keep an eye on things.
They are doing this to protect the people living near the border and to stop any terrorist attacks.
The Army is using special winter gear and working together to cover the snowy mountains and hidden caves.
Meanwhile, tourists are enjoying the snow in Gulmarg, celebrating the New Year with firecrackers and dancing.
Indian Army's Romeo Force is conducting intensified search and surveillance operations in the Pir Panjal ranges of Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, amid heavy snowfall.
Operations are being carried out at altitudes above 13,000 feet despite extreme cold, heavy snowfall, and challenging terrain.
Army personnel are equipped with specialized winter gear and are conducting coordinated exercises to monitor suspected areas along the border.
Counterterrorism operations have also been intensified in the Kishtwar and Doda districts, with efforts to root out potential threats before winter fully sets in.
The Army has adopted a proactive winter posture, establishing temporary bases and surveillance posts in snow-covered areas to maintain continuous pressure on potential terrorist hideouts.
