BJP MP Alleges CIA Nuclear Espionage in 1960s
A politician named Nishikant Dubey from the BJP party said that long ago, in the 1960s, India's leaders Nehru and Indira Gandhi allowed the US spy agency CIA to put special nuclear equipment on a tall mountain called Nanda Devi.
This was supposed to watch China.
But the Americans left the equipment there, and it might be causing problems like more cancer, melting ice, and strange weather.
Dubey said this might be why some bad things are happening in the mountains and rivers.
He also said that a long time ago, another leader named Morarji Desai talked about this in India's parliament.
A big US newspaper recently wrote about it too.
Dubey is worried about the future of India's children because of this.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey alleges CIA installed nuclear-powered surveillance equipment on Nanda Devi peak in 1964, 1967, and 1969.
Equipment was allegedly left behind, causing potential environmental and health issues.
Dubey links abandoned equipment to rising cancer rates, melting glaciers, and cloudbursts.
Former PM Morarji Desai acknowledged the operation in the Lok Sabha in 1978.
The New York Times recently published news about the alleged CIA operation.
