Telangana Chief Secretary Directs Collectors to Prepare Drought Reports

Telangana has had less rain than expected, and officials are checking which areas may be facing drought.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju asked district collectors to study conditions and prepare reports.

They were also told to take steps to help farmers.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will meet ministers on Monday and then speak with farmers, scientists, and officials by video.

Farmers will join from Rythu Vedikas.

Officials want farmers to consider growing different crops and plan ahead for difficult weather.

The government says it is working to keep electricity available without interruption.

Funds can also support rural jobs and projects that help conserve water.
