EC Extends SIR Form Deadline
The Election Commission of India has given more time for people to submit forms that help update the voter list.
They have extended the deadline to December 11, 2025.
So far, 71% of the forms have been digitised, and some polling booths have completed all their digitisation work.
The final voter list will be published on February 14, 2026.
The commission has also asked officials to help those who are behind in their work and to not worry too much about the extra time given.
The Election Commission of India extended the deadline for submitting enumeration forms for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) to December 11, 2025.
71% of the enumeration forms have been digitised, with 9,177 out of 1.62 lakh polling booths achieving 100% digitisation.
The draft electoral rolls will be published on December 16, 2025, and the final electoral rolls will be published on February 14, 2026.
Claims and objections will be received from December 16, 2025, to January 15, 2026, and adjudicated until February 7, 2026.
The Chief Electoral Officer directed officials to provide assistance to those who need help and to avoid unnecessary pressure.
