Mohan Yadav Faces Criticism After Emotional Ancestral House Demolition

Mohan Yadav is the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Part of his old family home in Ujjain had to be removed to make a road wider.

The road project is being done before a large religious event called Simhastha Mahaparv in 2028.

Yadav became emotional while removing part of the house because it held childhood memories.

Congress leader Jitu Patwari criticised him for showing emotion over the house.

Patwari said the chief minister had not shown similar concern during other tragedies.

He mentioned reported deaths linked to liquor, cough syrup and children in Balaghat.

The road project will affect parts of 272 buildings.

Some residents have already removed the marked portions of their homes voluntarily.
