Nehal Wadhera admits IPL 2026 didn't click despite expectations

Nehal Wadhera is a young cricketer who plays for the Punjab Kings team in India.

In the year 2025, he played really well and scored many runs, and everyone expected him to do great next year.

But in IPL 2026, the runs just did not come, and he scored only 65 runs in eight games.

He says that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things just don't click.

Instead of complaining, he talked to his captain Shreyas Iyer and his coach Ricky Ponting about how to get better.

He is now practicing very hard at the team's camp in New Chandigarh, even though rain has stopped some outdoor practice games.

The Punjab Kings team helps players with practice, the gym, massages, and other support.

Wadhera says he learned a lot from his tough season and is in a good headspace now.

Next, he will play for Himachal Pradesh in the domestic season and hopes to do well when IPL 2027 comes around.
