Delhi HC to Hear ED Plea Against Kejriwal's Bail on May 8
The Delhi High Court has scheduled a hearing for May 8 to consider the Enforcement Directorate's challenge against the bail granted to Arvind Kejriwal.
Kejriwal, who is the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party, was arrested in March and June 2024 in connection with a money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy.
The trial court had granted him bail on June 20, 2024, but the high court stayed this decision.
The Supreme Court had earlier granted Kejriwal interim bail on July 12, 2024, while referring questions about the necessity of arrest under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act to a larger bench.
The excise policy was scrapped in 2022 due to alleged irregularities and corruption.
