India Forms Task Force to Explore Formula 1 Revival

India wants to find out whether Formula 1 races can return to the country.

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced a special 10-member Task Force.

Yugal Kishore Joshi will lead the group.

The group will study the problems that stopped Formula 1 from continuing in India.

It will also examine how motorsports can grow in a lasting way.

Officials from sports, tourism, commerce, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra will take part.

The Task Force will suggest changes to government policies if needed.

Its goal is to create a plan for holding a race in India in 2028.

India last held a Formula 1 race in 2013.
