Flying Squads Seize Rs. 47.10 Lakh in Madurantakam

Election flying squads seized a total of Rs. 47.10 lakh in four checks in the Madurantakam constituency on Saturday.
Officials found Rs. 31.30 lakh in a car near Ramapuram, and Rs. 80,000 in another car in the same area.
A separate check on Acharapakkam Bazaar Street resulted in the seizure of Rs. 2 lakh.
At a private lodge near Sothupakkam, officials seized Rs. 13 lakh from a person who allegedly could not account for it with documents.
The cash was handed over to the treasury at the Madurantakam taluk office; polling is scheduled for October 6 and counting for October 9.
