Nutritionist Advocates Whole Foods for Micronutrient Needs

A nutritionist named Rashi Chowdhary says that eating whole foods like salmon, nuts, and seeds can give you all the tiny nutrients your body needs.

She explains that these foods work better than pills because your body can absorb the nutrients more easily.

For example, eating salmon gives you the right kind of omega-3 that your body can use, unlike seeds that only have a precursor.

She also talks about how foods like Brazil nuts, tofu, and pumpkin seeds can give you important minerals like selenium, calcium, and magnesium.

However, she admits that sometimes supplements might be needed, like for iron if you don't like eating liver.

She also warns that eating certain foods together, like calcium and iron, can stop your body from absorbing the nutrients properly.

Rashi says it's better to eat fresh, nutrient-rich foods instead of just taking multivitamins.
