RedBird to Acquire Telegraph Media Group for $674 Million
An investment company, RedBird Capital Partners, is buying the Telegraph Media Group, which publishes the Daily Telegraph newspaper in the UK.
The deal is worth around $674 million.
The newspaper, previously owned by the Barclay family, was put up for sale to help pay off debts.
The new owners plan to expand the brand.
The Spectator magazine, also part of the group, was sold to a different buyer last year.
The sale marks a new chapter for the newspaper, with RedBird aiming to grow the brand and its subscriber base.
RedBird Capital Partners will acquire the Telegraph Media Group.
The deal is valued at about 500 million pounds ($674 million).
The Telegraph Media Group was previously owned by the Barclay family.
The sale is intended to resolve the family’s debts.
