Pune Charity Hospitals Mandated to Implement MJPJAY Health Scheme
Imagine hospitals that help people without charging a lot of money.
The government wants these hospitals in Pune to join a special health plan called MJPJAY.
This plan helps people get free or cheaper care.
It was decided after a woman couldn't get help at a hospital and sadly passed away.
Now, all of these hospitals in Pune must start using this plan so people can get important medical help without worrying so much about money.
The plan covers lots of treatments, like surgeries and cancer care, and provides up to 5 lakhs of insurance coverage.
Maharashtra charity commissioner instructed all private charity hospitals in the state to implement MJPJAY.
The directive follows the death of Tanisha Bhise, allegedly denied care at a Pune hospital.
