Google India Nodal Officer Charged Over Fake Trading App Scam
A man from a defence company in India lost about 7.95 lakh rupees after downloading a fake trading app from the Google Play Store.
He was told by scammers to invest, and the app pretended to make money.
When he tried to take his money back, the app said it was a tax.
He told the police, who said the Google India officer was careless.
The police opened a case against that officer for negligence.
