Humanoid Robots Compete in Kickboxing Match in China
Imagine robots that can kick and punch each other like in a boxing match!
In China, they had the first-ever kickboxing competition with robots.
These robots, made by a company called Unitree, were controlled by people using joysticks.
The robots, though cool, also made some people worried.
Sometimes, robots haven't behaved perfectly, causing issues, like bumping into people.
This is because the robots are new and still have some problems with how their computer brains work.
Experts want to make sure these robots are safe, so they are very careful to check the software and test the robots before using them.
Humanoid robots competed in a kickboxing match in Hangzhou, China, a first-of-its-kind event.
The match was part of the China Media Group (CMG) World Robot Competition.
Four Unitree G1 robots, developed by Unitree Robotics, participated.
The robots were remotely controlled by human trainers and displayed coordinated movements.
Incidents involving robots' behavior have raised safety concerns regarding AI development.
