Sharannavaratri Festivities Begin Grandly at Warangal Temple

A festival for Goddess Bhadrakali has begun at a temple in Warangal.

Priests performed special prayers and ceremonies early in the morning.

An MLA and his wife formally opened the celebrations by lighting a lamp.

The Goddess was dressed as Bala Tripura Sundari.

She was carried in processions on a bull-shaped vehicle in the morning and a deer-shaped vehicle in the evening.

Priests also began several special religious ceremonies called yagas.

Devotees came to pray, and cultural programmes were held.

The temple’s special worship and celebrations will continue during the festival.
