The government of Andhra Pradesh, a state in India, decided to move many of its top officials, the people who run government departments, to new jobs.

It is a bit like a coach rearranging a team to put players in new positions.

In total, 22 senior officers were transferred or given extra duties.

The changes cover departments like Tourism, School Education, Transport, Health, Housing, and Disaster Management.

The orders were written in an official document called G.O. Rt.

No.

1539.

Some officers got new jobs, like running the state tourism development corporation and the road transport company.

Others were put in charge of preparations for the Godavari Pushkaralu, a big religious festival at the Godavari river.

Special officers were appointed to make sure the festival goes smoothly.

The reshuffle also touched temple administration and urban development agencies.
