Mumbai Lakes’ Water Stock Falls to 95.84% as Monsoon Withdrawal Nears

Mumbai gets drinking water from seven lakes.

On October 3, those lakes were about 96% full.

They held less water than the day before.

Their levels were also lower than on the same date last year and in 2024.

Modak Sagar had the lowest level, while Vihar was full.

No rain fell at Bhandup Complex in the 24 hours before the report.

The monsoon was expected to withdraw in a few days.

The city monitors the lakes to keep track of its water supply.
