NIFT Expands PhD Seats and Fee Waivers
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has made some big changes for their PhD programs starting in 2026.
They are increasing the number of Teaching Fellow seats from 5 to 20.
This is a big jump!
Also, they will give a full tuition fee waiver to 5 students who come from economically weaker sections or are from Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.
The goal is to make the institute stronger in teaching and research.
This is great news for students who want to do a PhD at NIFT!
NIFT increased PhD seats under the Teaching Fellow category to 20 from 5.
100% tuition fee waiver for 5 eligible candidates from EWS, SC, and ST categories.
Changes aim to strengthen academic and research capacity at NIFT.

Eligible candidates must clear the full-time PhD admission process under NTF criteria.
