Kerala Becomes First Indian State with Complete Digital Literacy
Kerala, a state in India, has made a big achievement!
They've taught everyone how to use computers and the internet, making them digitally literate.
This means people of all ages, even a 104-year-old, know how to use technology.
It's like everyone in the state has gone to computer class!
The state also made sure everyone can get fast internet and is putting all important papers online.
This is a big step forward for the state, and it's all thanks to a lot of helpful people who volunteered to teach others.
Kerala has become the first Indian state to achieve complete digital literacy.
Over 2.5 lakh volunteers helped achieve this milestone in three stages.
Digital literacy training initially targeted ages 14-65, later including all ages.
Kerala made internet access a legal right and provides high-speed connections via the K-Fone project.
The second phase will digitize all personal documents in DigiLockers.
