India's Renewable Energy Capacity Sees Significant Growth
India is doing a lot more to get energy from things like the sun and wind.
Over the last 10 years, they've tripled how much of this 'green' energy they have.
They're making more solar panels and wind turbines, and they want to make even more by 2030.
This helps India make its own energy and rely less on getting it from other countries.
Lots of people are also getting help with installing solar panels on their houses.
India is now the third-biggest in the world at making electricity from the sun and wind.
India's renewable energy capacity has tripled in the last decade, reaching 232 GW.
Solar energy capacity has increased from 2.82 GW in 2014 to over 108 GW currently.
Wind energy capacity has more than doubled, from 21 GW in 2014 to 51 GW.
Solar module manufacturing has grown from 2 GW in 2014 to 90 GW in 2024, with plans for 150 GW by 2030.
India aims to reach 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
