Government to Restore Historic Betul Fort, Says Minister
Imagine a very old fort, like a castle, that's been around for a long, long time.
It's called Betul fort, and it's in India.
The government wants to fix it up and make it new again!
A minister in charge of old places said they'll rebuild it, like a promise.
They even have someone who knows how to design and fix it.
It's a little tricky because the fort is looked after by someone else, and the road to get there is on private land.
But, they're working on it because people who live nearby really want the fort to be fixed so everyone can enjoy it.
The government announced plans to rebuild the historic Betul fort.
Minister Subhash Phal Dessai stated the project aims to complete the unfinished work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
An architect and consultant have been appointed for the restoration.
The fort currently falls under the jurisdiction of the customs department.
Local residents have long voiced concerns about the fort's deterioration.
