ACB Seeks 14-Day Judicial Custody For Satyendar Jain

The Anti-Corruption Branch is investigating alleged problems in contracts for sewage treatment plants.

It asked a court to keep former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain and four others in judicial custody for 14 days.

The agency asked for police custody only for Ankit Srivastava.

Six people are accused in total.

Jain’s lawyer said the arrest was not supported by enough evidence.

The lawyer also said Jain would seek bail.

Udit Prakash Rai’s lawyer challenged his arrest as well.

The judge was still hearing the case when the report was published.
