Sensex Rises 274 Points, Auto Index Tops Gains
The Sensex, a major Indian stock market index, went up by 274 points, showing that the market was doing well.
The auto sector was the biggest winner, gaining more than 1.76%, while the reality sector lost 2%, the biggest drop among all sectors.
The market stayed above a technical line called the 20‑day SMA, which usually means the trend is good.
A market expert named Shrikant Chouhan said that 77,500 is an important level: if the index stays above it, the uptrend may keep going, and it could rise to about 78,300‑78,500.
If it falls below 77,500, the uptrend could weaken and traders might sell their stocks.
