MWCD, MSDE to Launch NAVYA Vocational Training Program for Girls
Imagine the government wants to help girls learn new skills so they can get good jobs.
They're starting a program called NAVYA to do this.
NAVYA will teach girls aged 16-18, who have finished at least 10th grade, how to do jobs that aren't usually done by women.
The program will begin in certain areas, including places that need extra help.
This program is designed to give girls confidence and open up opportunities for them.
The government hopes that this will make India a more developed and fair country.
MWCD and MSDE are launching NAVYA, a vocational training initiative for adolescent girls.
NAVYA, short for Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational Training for Young, will start as a pilot program.
The program aims to equip girls aged 16-18 with vocational skills in non-traditional job roles.
The pilot will be implemented in 27 districts, including Aspirational Districts and Northeastern States.
