Congress Protests PHE Minister in Nalbari
In Nalbari, Assam, Congress workers protested by burning an effigy of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Minister, Jayanta Mallabaruah.
They are upset because they think the Jal Jeevan Mission, which is supposed to bring clean water to people, is being run badly and there is corruption.
They want the minister to resign.
The protest blocked a busy area and they gave a letter to the district commissioner asking for the minister to step down.
The Congress party says Assam is second in the country for corruption in this mission.
They also plan to put stickers in places where the mission hasn't worked to make the government check it again.
The minister says the mission is being checked properly, but the Congress doesn't agree.
