Adhikari Offers Free Uruguay Match Tickets to Messi Event Fans
West Bengal’s chief minister has offered free tickets to a football match between India and Uruguay.
The match is set for October 6 at Salt Lake Stadium.
The offer is for about 22,000 people who bought tickets to Lionel Messi’s Kolkata event but could not see him because of problems at the stadium.
The government plans to share a WhatsApp number so eligible fans can find out how to get their tickets.
The announcement came after India played Brazil at the same stadium.
India lost that match 4-0.
Adhikari said some seats had been left unsold to help prevent overcrowding.
