Survivor Describes Camouflaged Militants’ Deadly Ambush in Manipur

A vehicle carrying six people was attacked in Manipur.

Four passengers were killed in the ambush.

Two people survived, including Gaikamang Ringkangmai, who was shot in the arm.

He escaped by jumping from the vehicle and hiding in bushes.

Ringkangmai said the attackers wore camouflage clothes and fired from pairs.

He also said red ribbons were tied to their rifles.

A Naga community group blamed two Kuki militant organizations, but the reports do not say that this accusation has been officially confirmed.

The state government ordered security officials to find and take action against those responsible.
