China Expands Navy with New Aircraft Carrier
China is building a bigger navy.
They just finished testing their third aircraft carrier, called the Fujian.
This new ship is different from their previous ones because it has a flat deck like American carriers and uses a special system to launch airplanes.
China plans to have nine aircraft carriers by 2035.
The Pentagon, which is part of the U.S. government, says China might use these ships to show they can be very strong, especially near Taiwan.
China's new aircraft carrier, Fujian, has a flat deck and electromagnetic launch system.
China aims to have a total of nine aircraft carriers by 2035.
The Fujian is the first carrier designed and built entirely by China.
