Crude Oil Prices Drop on Peace Hopes
Crude oil prices went down on Friday because people are hoping that Russia and Ukraine might make peace.
This could mean that there won't be any problems with getting oil from Russia, which is a big oil producer.
Also, Venezuela, which is under sanctions, has sent some oil to China.
This news made the price of oil go down.
Other things like natural gas, guargum, and jeera also changed in price, but not as much as oil.
The price of oil is important because it affects how much things cost, like gas for cars and heating homes.
Crude oil futures traded lower on Friday due to hopes of a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
Brent oil futures were at $59.71, down 0.18%, and WTI crude oil futures were at $55.89, down 0.20%.
US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to meet a Russian delegation in Miami this weekend.
Venezuela authorized two unsanctioned oil tankers to sail for China, putting at risk around 600,000 barrels of oil per day in exports.
Other commodities like natural gas, guargum, and jeera also saw price changes on Friday.
