Shravana Poojas Drive Flower and Fruit Prices Higher in Vizag

The holy month of Shravana has increased demand for flowers and fruits in Visakhapatnam.

Many people buy them for prayers and religious ceremonies.

Because more people want flowers, their prices have gone up sharply.

Hybrid chrysanthemums now cost ₹600 per kilogram instead of ₹400.

Roses and marigolds have also become more expensive.

Some fruits, such as kiwi and guavas, cost more, while pomegranates became cheaper.

Onions became costlier, but tomatoes became cheaper.

Traders said uneven supplies, transport costs and weather problems affected prices.

Families are trying to continue their traditions while spending carefully.
