Telangana DGP Urges Better Investigations and Criminal-Law Implementation

Telangana's police chief, C.V. Anand, met with senior officers to review how the state is putting new criminal laws into practice.

He said the state scored 60.15 in a national assessment.

He asked police units to improve investigations and finish them on time.

He also urged officers to use digital tools, including systems for evidence and court summons.

Mulugu district had the highest score in the state, followed by Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Ramagundam.

The officers discussed delays in cases and ways to use crime data to prevent offences.

Anand said police should pay particular attention to cybercrime and other named crime areas.

He plans another review to check the units' progress.
