Baba Vanga's 2026 prophecies: Two fulfilled, three terrifying predictions remain
Baba Vanga was a blind woman from Bulgaria who many people believed could predict the future.
She died in 1996, but people still talk about things she supposedly said about the year 2026.
Some of her fans say two of her predictions already came true this year.
One was about big disasters like earthquakes and storms, and there really was a huge earthquake in Myanmar.
Another was about computers and robots taking over jobs that people used to do.
Her fans also say she predicted aliens might arrive on a giant spaceship in November.
They say she predicted a third world war and a new leader for Russia, but neither of those has happened yet.
Some people are not convinced, because the predictions are vague and could fit many different events.
Nobody has ever proven that her predictions were really true.
Followers claim two of Baba Vanga's alleged 2026 predictions have already come true: major natural disasters and AI replacing human workers.
Believers link the disaster prediction to Myanmar's 7.7-magnitude March earthquake, heatwaves and wildfires in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy, floods across Asia and severe US storms.
A remaining prediction says a 'massive spaceship' could enter Earth's atmosphere in November, possibly leading to contact with aliens.
Another alleged prediction is World War 3 involving China seizing Taiwan and Russia-US conflict escalating, but neither scenario has occurred as of August 7.
Followers say Vladimir Putin will lose power and be replaced before the end of 2026, though there is no public indication he is preparing to step aside.

Did the 2026 predictions come true?
Believers in the prophecies
Followers say two predictions were fulfilled, pointing to the Myanmar earthquake, heatwaves and wildfires in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy, floods in Asia, severe US storms and AI's spread into workplaces.
Skeptics and fact-checkers
Critics note the predictions give no clear details about when or where disasters would strike, such events occur every year, and no reliable record confirms what Vanga said or when she said it.
Alien contact in November
Believers in the prophecies
Interpreters claim a 'massive spaceship' entering Earth's atmosphere in November could bring contact with aliens.
Skeptics and fact-checkers
Reports of unexplained objects are not evidence of extraterrestrial spacecraft; they often turn out to be drones, aircraft, balloons, satellites, atmospheric phenomena or sensor errors.
Putin losing power in 2026
Believers in the prophecies
The prophecy is said to hold that Vladimir Putin will be replaced as Russia's leader before the end of 2026.
Skeptics and fact-checkers
There is no public indication Putin is preparing to step aside; he has dominated Russian politics for over 18 years, and earlier rumors about his departure did not result in it.
