Tech Entrepreneur Jennifer Davis Seeks Krishnamoorthi’s Illinois Seat
Jennifer Davis is a Republican running for a seat in Congress in Illinois.
The seat is opening because Raja Krishnamoorthi is leaving it.
Davis used to run a technology company with her husband, and their business had offices and workers in India.
She says that experience helped her understand Indian American communities and immigration.
She wants Congress to pay more attention to technology, small businesses, family safety online, and the cost of living.
She says immigration rules should offer better ways for students and workers to build lives in the United States.
Davis says she respects Krishnamoorthi’s work, even though she is running for the seat he is leaving.
She also says she will not automatically agree with President Trump.
Republican Jennifer Davis is running for Illinois’ 8th Congressional District, an open seat Raja Krishnamoorthi is leaving.
Davis and her husband built a technology company that operated in India from 2002 and had about 240 employees when it was sold in 2019.
She says her campaign priorities include affordability, government debt, emerging technology, and protecting families from online threats.
Davis supports a stronger path to citizenship and says current H-1B visa conditions and the transition from student visas to work permits are unfair or inadequate.
Davis praised Krishnamoorthi’s service and says she would support President Trump when she agrees with him, while disagreeing when she does not.
