Chris Carter's R-rated X-Files director's cut premieres on Hulu, Disney+
Many years ago, a man named Chris Carter made a scary movie called The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
He wanted it to be very creepy, like the old Frankenstein stories.
A big movie company, 20th Century Fox, thought that would be too scary for many people.
They asked him to cut out the scariest parts so more people could watch it.
Now, 18 years later, Carter has put those scary parts back.
The new version is called The X-Files: I Want to Believe: Vrach Frankenshteyn, which means 'Victor Frankenstein' in Russian.
It will be shown on Hulu and Disney+ starting August 14.
The movie is about two detectives, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, looking for missing women with help from a priest.
The new version is darker and closer to what Carter wanted all along.
It is coming out just before a brand-new X-Files show starts on Hulu.
