Govinda Recalls Telling Salman: "You Don't Look Like a Hero"
A famous movie actor named Govinda told a story about his friend Salman Khan, who is also a very famous movie star.
The story happened a long time ago, before they made a funny movie called "Partner" together.
At that time, Salman was feeling very sad and upset.
Govinda said Salman looked unhappy and did not look like a movie hero anymore.
So Govinda gave him some advice: look inside yourself, and exercise for two or three hours every day.
He also told Salman that he would be the biggest movie star for ten years.
Salman listened to the advice, started feeling better, and became very successful.
The movie "Partner" came out in 2007 and people loved it.
Govinda says everything he predicted came true.
In an interview with ANI, Govinda recalled that Salman Khan was dealing with "pain and distress" and had become withdrawn before the shoot of their 2007 film "Partner."
Govinda said he introduced Salman to "Satya" over a drink and told him, "You've looked outward enough. Now look within yourself."
Govinda recalled telling Salman, "You are the hero, but you don't look like one right now... Come out of this," and advised him to exercise for two to three hours a day.
Govinda, who weighed 114 kilos and had just come out of politics, compared Salman's star quality to Dharmendra's and predicted he would "rule" the film industry for 10 years, a prediction he says came true.
"Partner," directed by David Dhawan and released on July 20, 2007, was a box-office success starring Salman Khan and Govinda, with Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif in important roles; its songs "Do You Wanna Partner," "Soni De Nakhre" and "You're My Love" became popular.
